Kingston Foreshore

Kingston
Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

Oxigen’s master plan for Kingston Foreshores defines the public realm as a contemporary, post-industrial place that makes the most of its location on the foreshores of Lake Burley Griffin in Canberra.

The master plan for the public realm works in conjunction with development controls (also by Oxigen) for adjacent residential and commercial development — the two work together to achieve a unified and visionary new urban precinct for Canberra.

Oxigen were engaged to prepare the Kingston Foreshore public realm master plan, detailed designs and documentation for tender and then superintendence of the construction.

Two components of the works are now complete — the new canal bridge and the lake edge foreshore and gardens.
