THORNDON PARK

Campbelltown, SA
2001-2003
Campbelltown City Council

Thorndon Park Reservoir was Adelaide’s first water supply reservoir. Redevelopment of this open space as a recreation park retained the remaining industrial infrastructure and introduced new forms, spaces and activities in a new post-industrial landscape. New wetlands recirculate water from the reservoir as well as cleansing incoming stormwater from the adjacent residential suburbs.
