The Playford Civic Centre is located in Elizabeth – an outer northern suburb of Adelaide. Elizabeth retains a strong association with South Australia’s economic and cultural development from the 1960’s. The new Civic Centre reuses former buildings, including the Octagon Theatre, to revitalize the civic heart to the city. Outdoor spaces have been designed as an integral component of the development, and these include a main civic plaza, entries, signage and enclosed courtyards.
