Queen Elizabeth Park is one of Queanbeyan’s most important civic and recreational spaces: its central location adjacent to the CBD makes it a recreational, tourism and cultural focus within the Queanbeyan open space system. The intent of the Master Plan is to reinvigorate Queen Elizabeth Park as a key destination within Queanbeyan’s open space network, complimenting other recreational and landscape open space facilities but also reinforcing a distinct character for this particular place.
