St Clair is a quality housing and community lifestyle development in a green community setting. Across multiple stage, Oxigen provided design direction for the key components of St Clair, including detailing of the extensive wetland system, urban design for the central shopping precinct, town centre, and new railway station plaza, major entry design, open space, parks and streetscapes. Consistent with our cohesive approach to all elements of urban design Oxigen were also responsible for the design of bespoke furniture and landscape elements to enhance the image of this progressive development. This green open space transitions from hard-edged urban form to organic shapes along its 1.3 km route. The wetlands are a major part of the waterproofing the West stormwater harvesting project, treating up to 1,000 ML of water each year which is re-injected into the aquifer. St Clair is a major urban infill project fitting within existing neighbouring communities with a focus on connecting communities, WSUD, biodiversity and open recreational corridors.
