The industrial history and context of the site were reflected in the building design, and this was continued into the adjacent gardens, to be interrupted with elements of whimsy, fun and colour. Amongst the waves of planting, contrasting recycled gravels and circular pre-cast concrete paving units provide access through the spaces. A grid of red lollipops provides a common theme through the site providing a visual connection tying one end of the site to the other.
